These are some of my favorite wedding photos that I have taken – ever! Golden light during sunset is the most beautiful light available. I love how the sunlight glows in the bride’s hair. Very cool.

These photos are a bit more unusal. If you were to see them without explaination you would probably wonder what is going on? Why is there a bride and groom climbing this mountain of rocks? Well, they were climbing up and down for Heidi Uhl to photograph them and I was documenting their climb. It was so fast up and down I didn’t get to change my wide angle lens to a telephoto to grab some shots as they posed on top of the rock pile – but Heidi was the primary photographer and nailed the shots.

Details! There is a phrase that says don’t sweat the details – wrong! I like the other phrase the “devil is in the details.”
Details are important for the wedding. Here are a few detail shots that I captured at a wedding in Roosevelt, Utah. I had fun photographing the wedding rings with a wide angle lens instead of the typical macro lens. Heidi had photographed them with a macro lens and you don’t want to duplicate the shots – as a second photographer you want to take more risks and think outside the box. The first photographer often doesn’t have that liberty. If you want to take advantage of a second photographer contact me!

This summer I had the opportunity to photograph a few weddings with Retrospect Studios. Heidi and Tim Uhl are amazing. Heidi and I traveled out to Roosevelt, Utah to photograph a wedding reception. It was in June and when we arrived it was FREEZING! The wind was howling and there was some bouts of wind – fortunately the gods of weather were appeased with some chocolate chip cookies or something at it was a lovely evening.
I am going to post a few blog entries with photos from the reception. Heidi was generous to let me share the photos – thank you thank you! If there are any photographers who need a second photographer (second shooter) let me know.
