50 stars and 13 stripes
I went to go vote this morning and I snapped a photograph of the sun shining through the flag of this the United States of America. In my district there was only one thing on the ballot – whether to issue a bond for the Granite School district. But still – I feel it my duty as an American to vote – and my privilege to vote.
Having been raised as a military brat as a kid I did see the men and women who fight and serve our country to keep it free. And I support them – where ever they are. I also support the fight for freedom and equality. One hundred years ago women were not allowed to vote. African americans had to win their freedom and then had to fight for the right to vote.
So vote! Don’t take it lightly.
