Püre’s Halfway to Halloween Party

Püre hosted their Halfway to Halloween Party on Friday and it was mucho fun and mucho people there. The music was great the lighting was gorgeous and I was able to use my new lenses (including my new favorite the Canon 85mm f/1.2 lens). I also used the macro lens I am renting. With high ISO settings on the camera and f/1.2 I can almost photograph in the dark. It also means that when I photograph I get all the club lighting in the photograph rather than just a black background with ghostly white people (washed out by flash).

Halloween Comes to Club Jam a Day Early

Club Jam had a sexy costume halloween party Friday night – a day before the real halloween costume. Here are a few photographs from the night. It was also a surprise party for one person – and who doesn’t like a 100 people yelling surprise? If I learned anything from the movie “Mean Girls” is that halloween is all about the sexy costume. No one dresses up as something scary – you want sexy. Even if that means you put on skimpy underwear and some makeup and that is it, lol.

QUAC Halloween 2009 – Day 59 of 365

Halloween is just a fun time of year. Adults dress up in sexy costumes and it gives them an excuse to just have fun. QUAC (Queer Utah Aquatics Club) hosted their annual Halloween party and Club Sound again this year. Tom Taylor who swims with the water polo team has been a huge support for QUAC and he opened up the club for the private party.

A Cop in a Bar Draws His Weapon for Halloween – Day 58 of 365

This photograph was taken at a halloween party at Club Jam – and I photoshopped it to make it look cool. I love this photo. Why can’t all photo shoots have some kind of prop or theme? It makes photos so much more cool. And I will be posting the photo from the event later today – I hope.

Just for the record – the gun was a toy gun and I removed the orange tip on the gun in Photoshop – cause that wouldn’t look very real for the photograph.

Halloween at Club Gossip with lots of QUAC

Halloween is an all day event – dress up for work during the day and then in the evening there are parties, clubs, and socializing. This Halloween had socializing at the QUAC party held at Club Gossip – so it was very convenient. The night started with the QUAC party downstairs. Needless to say you get to a point in life where most costumes are more sexy than anything else. You have your slutty nurse, slutty pirates, slutty priests and more.

Club Gossip pulled out all stops and had a fun costume contest, drag queens performing, some aerial acrobatics and some dancing adult entertainers. Be warned – there are about 900 photos in the gallery, but it was a lot of fun!

Nu Skin – Halloween 2008

Halloween is quickly becoming America’s most favorite holiday. I recently saw advertised a Halloween Tree – just like a Christmas tree but black and has lights colored for halloween. Probably not the best idea but it is a sign that Halloween is rather popular.

For those of you not in the know – my day job is a web designer for Nu Skin. I commute Monday thru Friday to the capital of happy valley. And Nu Skin loves halloween. They decorate pumpkins there are prizes for the best costumes and as in this Halloween falling on a Friday it was virtually deserted. Those that did show up dressed up in costume and some losers didn’t
