Karaoke @ the Tavernacle

written by dav.d

A warning – the following photos and photo gallery are of a fun and alcoholic nature! It was a lot of fun! To bad I usually work on Mondays and can’t make it to Sunday Night Karaoke at the Tavernacle. But do to the holidays I didn’t work Monday and I made it.

Click any of the following photos to go to the gallery. Some of us had gone to Brewvies earlier to see a movie and then migrated to the Tavernacle for an evening of singing Christmas songs while enjoying Christmas cheer.

I never drink on assignment – that would be dumb and irresponsible. And the photos would come out blurry. Well, this was for pure fun – and I am surprised that the photos came out so nice!

There were 3 photographers there – and between us we had 5 cameras. A bit over board but fun.

Bush at play

written by dav.d

Ok, so I mentioned in an earlier post that I would have photos of the Bush children playing in a park. Well, I guess I sort of kind of lied – or changed my mind. Or something.

Instead of one post of the Bush children at play I decided to break it up into 4 different blog posts. This way I would get more mileage from one photoshoot and I could also write a post about each person. The first post – this post – features a few of the pictures of Maren and Julianne playing at the park.

Recently I have been deciding how to define myself as a photographer. There are sports photographers, wedding photographers, portrait photographers and more. They always encourage you to specialize so people know what you do. I enjoy shooting everything – why limit myself to one branch of photography.

So I will be calling myself a Lifestyle Photographer. What makes a lifestyle photographer different? For me I want to focus on people on the go, doing things, actively showing off their hobbies, skills, lifestyle and more. It will allow me to be a sports photographer that tells a story. It will allow me to photograph weddings and capture the story, lives, and lifestyle behind the gown, rings, and cake. Soapbox over…

So here are some photos of my nieces playing at a local playground. It definitely tells a story of them having fun. I will be posting more for Maren, Julianne and even little Henry.
