Temple Square for Christmas

written by dav.d

To all photographers in Utah, you really need to check out Photo Walking Utah. On Thursday Night a group of 50 photographers met up at the Salt Lake Library for a one hour mini class on low light photography. And then we went and photographed Temple Square.

It was a lot of fun. And I was able to use my tripod and practice my long exposures. Some of these photos were took 30 seconds. A bunch were at 6 seconds. I didn’t bring my cable release but I set my camera’s self timer to 2 seconds and would push the shutter release and wait till the camera clicked.

And it was nice and freezing, but I was wearing 2 coats and gloves. I hope you enjoy the selected photos.

These are absolutely stunning! I think my favorites are the ones of the temple with the trees in front. The shadows of the trees are so pretty. You did such a great job with these. Time to play with HDR!
