I am excited for the next two posts. I photographed advertising for the upcoming Gay Bowl 8 to be hosted in Salt Lake City, Utah. We broke the photoshoot up in to 2 parts. The first was photographed as the sun was beginning to set on one of the local high school football fields. This is all natural light although I was tempted to bring out the studio lights for some other shots.
I purchased up some baby oil, a spray bottle of Evian water, and some make-up to help create the illusion everyone just spent a few hours working out in football camp. We had them run stairs run a few plays and a few posed shots. In essense these are lifestyle advertisements – and they look great.
We may have one or two more shoots before the Gay Bowl – we shall see. I will be there October 10-12 photographing the events and the games. It will be awesome – I get to be a sports photographer!
