Event photography can be fun and challenging. First of all I take hundreds if not thousands of pictures—so hand customizing in Photoshop is usually impossible. Second of all is there is a lot of people and you try to photograph everyone and not bump into people while doing so. Third you always feel like you are forgetting something.
I love to focus on people and the details. There are a few other things I try to capture but if you get people and the details then you can tell a story. A story is powerful way to convey photography to the audience.

What lense did you use in this event? You took a great photo of my friends at Pride! I do photography for fun and would like to know what editing software you recommend… let me know! I love your website. You amazing!
I used several lenses. For the food I used a macro lens – the Nikkor 105mm with VR. For group shots I usually used the Nikkor 14-24mm wide angle lens. And then I would use the Nikkor 70-200mm and the Nikkor f/1.8 85mm lens.
For editing I use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop CS3. And I use a number of Photoshop Actions that I have purchased from Kevin Kubota, Totally Rad Actions, Nichole Van.
